Scholarships offered by the Cyprus School of Molecular Medicine, a School of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics
The Cyprus School of Molecular Medicine is in the pleasant position to announce the commencement of its application period for the academic year 2015-16. Our dynamic range of programs now includes the innovative disciplines of Neuroscience and Biomedical Research in addition to Molecular Medicine and Medical Genetics.
Deadline for Applications: Wednesday, 30 April, 2015, 23:59 local time.
CSMM Scholarships
· The CSMM offers one tuition scholarship of 2,000 Euros, for one Famagusta resident who will be accepted to study to any of its MSc programs.
· Furthermore, a number of full and partial scholarships to cover tuition fees are awarded to MSc and PhD students based on academic criteria.
· In addition to the above, various types of scholarships are available specifically for PhD students, for years 2, 3 and 4 which may cover costs of consumables and/or a monthly allowance.
· The exact amount and number of scholarships that are offered is always subject to the yearly budget of the School.
The Cyprus School of Molecular Medicine (www.cing.ac.cy/csmm) offers the following postgraduate programs:
1. MSc in Molecular Medicine
2. MSc in Medical Genetics
3. PhD in Molecular Medicine
4. PhD in Medical Genetics
We would like to highlight the fact that all the above programs are fully accredited by all official accreditation bodies of the Republic of Cyprus and the degrees awarded, are considered equivalent to University degrees.
In addition, the following 3 Programs have just been registered in the Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture and they will be available for the upcoming academic year of 2015-2016:
1. MSc in Neuroscience
2. MSc in Biomedical Research
3. PhD in Neuroscience
The above 3 new Programs are being submitted for accreditation to the official bodies of the Republic of Cyprus.
Furthermore, the preparatory course “Introduction to Biomedical Science” is a 3-week course, offered during end of August-beginning of September of every year, and we would welcome BSc graduates and other professionals who wish to acquire knowledge in this field, regardless if they wish to proceed to postgraduate studies or not. Scholarships may also be available for this course.
We are interested to inform exceptional young graduate students of the unique learning environment and innovative curriculum available to them, at the Cyprus School of Molecular Medicine.

Please also find attached the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING) prospectus, which provides analytical information regarding the parent Institution within which the CSMM has been established. As discussed during our meeting, the Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics (CING) is a bi-communal, non-profit, private, research, medical and academic Institution. The Vision of the CING is to function as a National Centre of Excellence and a Regional Referral Centre in the areas of Neurology, Genetics, Biomedical and Medical Sciences. The Mission of the CING is to develop and provide specialized clinical and laboratory services, develop and pursue advanced innovative research and provide postgraduate education in the areas of Neurology, Genetics, Biomedical, Medical and other similar and related Sciences. CING’s ultimate aim is to improve and upgrade the quality of life of patients and strengthen its international role in the areas of its specialties.
